Airport parking and shuttle service Super Park has lost its contract with ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Lambert International Airport, according to a notice filed with the state Wednesday.
Transportation company SP Plus, LLC, A Metropolis Company, told the state that it will lay off 130 local workers effective July 1 because the shuttle service contract between the airport and the company will not be renewed.
Affected workers include 82 drivers and seven facility managers, plus attendants, dispatchers and more. Some of the employees are represented by Teamsters Union Local 618, which has been notified. But Super Park spokesperson Andrew Morrissey said impacted employees will be rehired by the new operators.
“We are committed to ensuring a smooth transition throughout the process,†Morrissey said.
Super Park runs seven parking lots and garages near the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Lambert International Airport, which range in daily price rates. It’s partnered with the Lambert airport for the past three years.

The city of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ owns and operates the airport, which is located in north ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ County.
Roger Lotz, Lambert’s public relations manager, said next steps will be discussed at the Airport Commission’s June 4 meeting.
Lotz said that Super Park is not the company the airport will be submitting as a bid for the new contract, but would not discuss the matter further.
