ST. LOUIS — Longtime KSDK (Channel 5) journalist Kay Quinn will be leaving the TV station in July.
Quinn announced her impending departure in a post on X on Thursday afternoon, saying she looked forward to "the next chapter" and spending more time with her family.Â
She recalled her time as a weekend anchor, weekday show anchor and reporting on health news over the past 36 years.Â
“Little did I realize when I walked in here as a freelance reporter in 1989 that it would lead to the long and gratifying career for which I am so thankful,†Quinn’s announcement reads. “Thank you to the viewers who have supported me and have both let me into their homes and many into their hearts during all this time.â€
She also noted "the chance to share a few kinds words with people who came to KSDK for information or to share their story, and who also found a friend in me."
