The Bananas, baseball’s answer to the Harlem Globetrotters, visit ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ on April 4 and 5, and demand here is higher than any other city among the 40 the team will visit in 2025, a team official said this week.
There were more than 160,000 entries in the first 72 hours of the lottery for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Banana Ball tickets, the team said this week. The lottery list here was the largest of any city on the team’s 2025 tour, which includes numerous Major League Baseball parks and even some larger pro and college football venues.
Each entrant can buy up to five tickets, and a “small allocation†of tickets was set aside for Cardinals season ticketholders, so suffice to say, demand greatly exceeds supply.
The process for procuring a ticket began months ago. Fans had to enter a lottery last October. On Wednesday, those who were selected in the lottery were sent an email to go through a verification process that includes submitting a photo of their government identification as well as taking a selfie.

“We want to ensure that real tickets are ending up in the hands of real fans,†a team official said in an email this week. “We’re confident that bots and scalpers aren’t able to get their hands on tickets through this verification process.â€
Tickets are $40 to $75 with no added fees. The team turned down a lucrative offer from a ticket broker for double face value for an allotment of tickets from every game on the tour, an official confirmed this week.
