St. Luke's Hospital has closed on its acquisition of Des Peres Hospital from Tenet Healthcare Corporation.聽

The deal expands St. Luke鈥檚 footprint and is likely to improve its leverage with payers. St. Luke鈥檚 has long dominated health care in the Chesterfield area and was one of the area鈥檚 last remaining independent hospitals. This deal grows St. Luke鈥檚 operations at the same time insurers and hospital systems are bulking up across the country.
Without Des Peres, Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare Corp. no longer operates any hospitals in 蜜芽传媒, which was once a major market for the for-profit chain.
