Plant-based eating is on the rise, and thanks to some stellar chefs around the area, ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ diners have plenty of options when it comes to a good vegan burger. Some are mainstays and some run as limited-time specials, but all of the choices below are delicious.Â
The Royale
The South City watering hole is a favorite for people who want stellar cocktails and delicious food, and its menu is the classic something-for-everyone variety. Included in The Royale’s main dishes section is the veggie burger, for which the restaurant utilizes Hungry Planet burger patties. Prepared vegetarian – with white cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles on brioche with Billy Goat chips – or vegan – with vegan cheese and ciabatta bread – it’s a must-try. Hungry Planet makes chef-crafted, plant-based meats. What’s more, the company was founded and is based right here in ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½.

Vegan Deli and Butcher
Regulars and newcomers alike line up for the Big Mac at Vegan Deli, and for good reason. The fast food favorite only appears as a special – it’s far too labor-intensive for a regular menu item – but if you manage to get your hands on one, it’s worth the wait.
